Bramble Splash Cocktail
The story of the bramble splash cocktail is a little bit of a journey, so stay with me!
I am highly allergic to poison ivy, like no joke, if I am anywhere near the stuff the oil finds me and BAM! I am covered head to toe. We recently moved to a new house and started the hunt for any leaves of three. Anytime we come across a plant with three leaves we always take a picture with an app to help identify the plant.
On this particular morning, the app said we had a black raspberry bramble bush. I googled it curious if would actually grow black raspberries. Instead, my search returned a drink called The Bramble Cocktail.
Always on the hunt for great mixed drinks, I was intrigued. While the traditional cocktail calls for just gin, Chambord and lemon juice over crushed ice (which is great!), adding a splash of pineapple juice takes up to the next level.
If you have some fresh raspberries or blackberries on hand I highly recommending muddling them for this drink!
Refreshing and great on a summer day.
