Grilled Chimichurri Steak with Green Beans and Tomatoes
Summer brings about thoughts of sunshine, warm days laying by a pool, the smell of fresh cut grass, long days, and of course BBQs with friends and family. I love steak and I love steak with sauces even more. That makes Chimichurri Steak one of my favorite dishes.
What is Chimichurri Sauce?
One of my favorites is a chimichurri sauce. Chimichurri sauce is an uncooked sauce that can be used as both a marinade and topping for grilled meats. It is common in several South American countries but traditionally from Argentina. While the herbs can vary some, the base of a chimichurri sauce is olive oil, vinegar, parsley, garlic and with herbs. While I love to eat chimichurri with steak, it is also great with sausages, poultry and some fish.
This chimichurri sauce is super quick to make (especially with the Chef’n VeggiChop), just put all of the ingredients in and pull the string a few times and voila, chimichurri sauce!
