About Pina Coladas
Did you know Pina Colada’s are the official drink of Puerto Rico? Pina colada’s are one of the most famous and popular beach drinks, in part most of the ingredients come from the warm climate like coconuts, pineapple and rum.
Based on recommendations by Jose Lopez, mixologist at the Caribe Hilton:
The perfect piña colada shouldn’t be too frozen. It should be iced. There should be a perfect balance between pineapple juice and coconut cream. That creates harmony between the sweetness of the coconut and the sourness of the pineapple. It should be mixed with a golden rum, for a more elevated and bold profile.
Pina Colada’s are also great for BBQ’s I would recommend serving with Kielbasa and Baked Beans From Scratch.
